Nintendo Wii U - Features and Latest Updates

As computer technology is evolving in new dimensions, gaming technology is also evolving faster in different magnitudes alongside. Nintendo’s most awaited Wii U is going to hit the market in November. Wii fans were taken aback when the price of the new console was announced. However, the new features and games convince them to buy one. Let’s take a sneak peek at the device that’s still in Nintendo’s lab.

There are two devices, Basic and Deluxe, going to be released. The glossy black is the Deluxe and the milky white is the Basic model. The difference is the memory storage capacity and accessories that come with them. As both models support external USB storage, there’s not going to be much difference when it comes to the ultimate gaming experience.

I guess you’re thinking about the games in the new console. There will be about 50 games initially available and Nintendo will add more in the future. Some of the games that would receive a great welcome are,

  • Baynoetta 2
  • Monster Hunter 3
  • New Super Mario Bros. U
  • Zombiu
  • Pikmin 3
  • Rise of the Guardians

Specs:
It comes with a 6.2 inch LCD touch screen with 16:9 aspect ratio. It has both traditional buttons and also analog sticks for game control. You can use your fingers, the stylus, or the buttons to control the game. Its front camera, microphone and stereo speakers make it more than a gaming device. You also get a GamePad Stand, GamePad Cradle, and a Console Stand with the Deluxe console. Plus, you can enroll yourself for a special promotion which gives you points for digital downloads, which can be redeemed on future downloads.

A noteworthy feature is its Near Field Communication. The device can communicate wirelessly with other devices within a specified range for gaming and other activities you do in the console. Other physical objects present around the console won’t be a barrier for the signals anymore. It is expected that this technology will develop and redefine the way things operate in the future.
