Nintendo Wii U - Features and Latest Updates

As computer technology is evolving in new dimensions, gaming technology is also evolving faster in different magnitudes alongside. Nintendo’s most awaited Wii U is going to hit the market in November. Wii fans were taken aback when the price of the new console was announced. However, the new features and games convince them to buy one. Let’s take a sneak peek at the device that’s still in Nintendo’s lab.

There are two devices, Basic and Deluxe, going to be released. The glossy black is the Deluxe and the milky white is the Basic model. The difference is the memory storage capacity and accessories that come with them. As both models support external USB storage, there’s not going to be much difference when it comes to the ultimate gaming experience.

I guess you’re thinking about the games in the new console. There will be about 50 games initially available and Nintendo will add more in the future. Some of the games that would receive a great welcome are,

  • Baynoetta 2
  • Monster Hunter 3
  • New Super Mario Bros. U
  • Zombiu
  • Pikmin 3
  • Rise of the Guardians

Specs:
It comes with a 6.2 inch LCD touch screen with 16:9 aspect ratio. It has both traditional buttons and also analog sticks for game control. You can use your fingers, the stylus, or the buttons to control the game. Its front camera, microphone and stereo speakers make it more than a gaming device. You also get a GamePad Stand, GamePad Cradle, and a Console Stand with the Deluxe console. Plus, you can enroll yourself for a special promotion which gives you points for digital downloads, which can be redeemed on future downloads.

A noteworthy feature is its Near Field Communication. The device can communicate wirelessly with other devices within a specified range for gaming and other activities you do in the console. Other physical objects present around the console won’t be a barrier for the signals anymore. It is expected that this technology will develop and redefine the way things operate in the future.

Features:

Nintendo TVii:
You can split the screen and do two different activities at the same time. You can connect to Nintendo TVii and watch TV shows, sports, and movies using Wii U.

Nintendo eShop:
You can connect to and buy games from Nintendo eShop. There are also some select games from other retail stores that you can buy for your Wii U.

Miiverse:
Miiverse is a network of Wii gamers. You can be part of the community and discuss games, compete to achieve high scores, share your experiences, and give tips to fellow gamers. Miiverse is going to be a powerful network of gaming community. You can play games and post messages to Miiverse simultaneously.

Games from other consoles:
You can also import games from other Nintendo consoles to your Wii U. Some of the accessories like Wii Remote Plus, Nunchuk controllers and Wii Balance Board are compatible with the new Wii U.

Surfing:
You can use the split screen feature to browse the Internet and play games simultaneously.

TV Syncing:
Wii U can synchronize well with your TV to enable you to play on a big screen. You can control the game on Wii U and watch the movements on TV or you can directly control it using the remote.

Fascinating features, appealing looks, seamless synchronization and marvelous games are expected to make Wii U a big success. Price won’t matter much when compared to the exemplary fun we can have using this console.

Nintendo Wii U: The Newest Gaming System

Video games have been played at least since the 1970s and new gaming systems are continually evolving that claim to be superior in some respects to the older ones. Nintendo, one of the biggest names in the field, has just announced its newest gaming system in years—the Wii U, which will also be its best by far: The release  date is  November 18 2012.

The GamePad

One of the novel features of Nintendo Wii U is its 6.2-inch gaming pad, which “brings a whole new second screen to the gaming experience.” The players will now have a new way to interact with their games and with each other. Let us say two players are playing on the same large screen, each with his pad. The two pads will show completely different things and the players may even have different goals.

The GamePad will be more than just a gaming device. It will also serve as a TV remote and will come equipped with a Nintendo TV feature that will enable the owner to record his favorite TV shows, stream videos online and engage in “video chats.” In short, the “traditional barriers” that have long separated the player from his games and his TV set—and the latter two from each other—have now been eliminated thanks to this highly innovative device.

The two versions of the console

Two versions of the Nintendo Wii U will be available—the white Basic make, with 8 gigabytes, and the black Deluxe make, with 32 bytes. Both versions will feature a pair of button controls and analog sticks, motion control, a camera that faces forward, “rumble” features, stereo speakers, a microphone and a stylus, in addition to Near Field Communication support. They will run on lithium ion batteries.

Ways to play

The Wii U will also be capable of being played in several different ways. It can be held either vertically or horizontally and the touch pad can be used to control the play on the TV screen, either with the fingers or with the stylus mentioned above. With a set of remote controllers, up to five people will be able to play at a time. The GamePad, as mentioned above, will give the player “another perspective on gameplay.” Of if you choose to do so you can play with the GamePad alone.

Games
A variety of games will be available that can be played on the new console. These will include Land, Ninja Garden 3: Razor’s Edge, LEGO City: Undercover, Wii Fit U, Bayonetta 2, New Super Mario Brothers U, Pikmin 3 and SiNG Party.

Accessories
The GamePad will come with a number of accessories, which will include:
  •  a charger
  •  an AC adaptor for both the console and the GamePad
  •  a high-speed HDMI cable
  •  a sensor bar

The black Deluxe model will have three additional components—more memory, a charging console and stands for both that and the GamePad itself. It will also include something called Nintendo Land, which will help you to understand “how Nintendo changes gaming.”

 Nintendo TVii

“The most different initiative Nintendo has ever introduced”—that is what the TVii is called on an hour-long video that discusses all the elements of the Wii U. You can use this device to locate your favorite TV shows, movies and sports events and watch them on Netflix, Hulu or Amazon. This truly is an innovation. Never before has there been such a simple and easy way of combining playing video games and watching TV into a single gadget.

Nintendo has had a long history of innovation. Even if you already own the Wii, you should get this novelty gaming device. The whole family will want to use it! The Wii U will be the beginning of a whole new chapter in the history of both video games and TV. It will also make the perfect gift that you can give to your loved one for Christmas.

Computer System and Network Security Management

Many of the critical security problems are caused by computer systems. The weaker security measures on a computer system can invite attackers to run malicious code on it. Very carefully follow the security policies and make sure that a new computer system is secure before you link it to a network. The security management tasks to be performed on a computer system may include the following:
  • Install an operating system by using a secured file system.
  • Create user accounts and assign privileges to the users based on the security policies.
  • Use strong passwords for the user accounts.
  • Remove the unused and unnecessary user accounts including the unnecessary default accounts and guest accounts.
  • Turn off the unused and unnecessary services such as Telnet and anonymous access.
  • Turn on the automatic security service.
  • Restrict the access to the shared files, folders, and disks.
  • Set the account lockout policy.
  • Install the latest security packs, patches, and antivirus software.
  • Distribute the latest security packs, patches, and antivirus software to students and faculty members.
  •  Enable the security event auditing service and the log warning service.
  • After the installation of a software package or a new hardware device, run security assessment software to see if there is security vulnerability. Not only do network administrators need to carefully enforce these security measures, users including students and faculty members also need to do the same. A list of security measure enforcement tasks should be available to everyone who is involved in an online computer lab project. Fix all the problems before you link computers to a network.
Network System Security Management

A network is another most vulnerable place that can cause disastrous damage. Once the network is infected, all the computers and network devices connected to the network will be affected. Extra  caution needs to be taken before the network is deployed and used by the public.
  • Install the latest patches on routers and switches.
  • Enable the security filters, monitoring service, notification service, and auditing service.
  • Disable the unused services.
  • Use strong passwords.
  • Block all the vulnerable ports.
  • Secure routers and switches.
  • Encrypt the network traffic.
  • Block the unused protocols by default.
  • Configure the network not to receive or forward broadcast messages.
  • Enable the firewall and configure it according to the security policies.
  • Update the firewall with the latest patches.
  • Enable IPsec on the firewall and configure it for encrypted communication.
  • After the network equipment is installed, run security assessment software to see if there is security vulnerability.
The network security measures should be fully enforced while creating the network. Most of these tasks should be done by network administrators who have the security management experience and the knowledge.

How To Create Software Directory Backlinks

Try and get at least 10 software directory back-links. You would need to use Abbot for this purpose at this stage, if you wish to automate the whole task of .EXE creation and submission (which I highly recommend). This will give a major boost to your link diversity.

Spun Articles
Exactly 15 spun articles (exactly the same as last week) need to be submitted to ANY 15 article directories (you can repeat a few here and there now – no need to post to different ones). As previously, you can use Article Marketing Robot to automate the process.

.EDU and .GOV backlinks
Try and get at least 15 of these links from this week onwards – and this case, do not repeat the blogs/sites from which you are getting your back-links (Fiverr option is still viable if you need to save time).

Blog commenting backlinks
Similar to .EDU and .GOV, try and get at least 15 of these links from this week onwards – and this case, do not repeat the blogs/sites from which you are getting your back-links (Fiverr option is still viable if you need to save time).

Document creation and submission/Web 2.0
Using the exact same method as last week, either create and submit more than 2 documents to all the sites left over (15) from the last week or create a third tier of 15 more Web 2.0 links (internal linking)

Indexing!
Yep – the same as usual. Get the links indexed using Linklicious.me

So just a word – this is where we have really stepped it up to the next level. If you have been attempting all this while to rank an affiliate site which you created for a low competition keyword, chances are that you are going to probably start getting some amount of visitors to your site. So it is basically time to start celebrating a bit.

Also, the main goal of Week 5 is to meander towards a good back-link blueprint which we can diligently follow to get our website up in the big G’s results. Moreover, the fact that you have actually implemented diverse back-linking techniques over several weeks should have also given you a great deal of confidence of future link-building.
